VESC205 Methods of Instruction has been developed to enhance the knowledge and skills of QFES members undertaking the role of trainer. This interactive workshop includes a range of learning activities; participation is a key requirement of all in attendance. At the completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • prepare for training (accredited or non-accredited), including developing session plans, organising resources and meeting workplace health and safety requirements,
  • utilise a range of training techniques, aids and skills, and
  • facilitate learning in an environment that is engaging, motivating and relevant.​

Successful completion of VESC205 Methods of Instruction, awards two (2) units of competency:

  • TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction, and
  • BSBCMM411 Make presentations.

Introduction:

VESC205 Methods of Instruction has been developed to enhance the knowledge and skills of QFES members undertaking the role of trainer.  The course has been written to satisfy QFES organisational requirements and to reflect the following relevant nationally accredited units of competency:
  • BSBCMM411 Make presentations
  • TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction

Target Audience:

The course is designed for QFES staff and volunteers who:
  • deliver and assess non-accredited training,
  • deliver accredited training (under the supervision of a QFES RTO Facilitator), and
  • gather assessment evidence

Learning Methods:

This course is delivered face to face over 2 days. There is also post course components that will require completion and submission for an assessment outcome to be determined.
