SEM0101 Flood Boat

SEM0101
Provides the knowledge and skills required to operate a SES flood boat and carry out tasks associated with flood and inland water situations rescue safely and effectively. Tasks include (but are not limited to):
  • on-water manoeuvring
  • navigation
  • trailer reversing

Introduction:

The Flood Boat Operations course has been developed to provide SES members with the knowledge and skills to undertake flood and inland waterways flood boat operations. The course has been written to satisfy Queensland SES organisational requirements and to reflect the nationally accredited unit PUASES009 – Undertake inland flood boat operations.

Learning Methods:

This course is conducted via a Face-to-Face workshop. 
Pre-registration tasks 4-5 hours
eLearning 2hours
Face to face component is approximately 4-6 days in duration (2-3 weekends)
