Provides the knowledge and skills required to recognise potential health and safety risks and take the necessary action in operational and training environments.
Upon the successful completion of this course you will be able to undertake the role of safety officer in SES functions where you have previously demonstrated a high level of underpinning knowledge and skills.

Introduction:

The SES Safety Officer course has been developed to provide QFES members with the knowledge and skills to undertake the operational role of safety officer for a functional team. The course has been written to satisfy QFES organisational requirements and to reflect the relevant nationally accredited unit PUAWHS002 Maintain safety at an incident scene.

Learning Methods:

This course is conducted via a Face-to-Face workshop. It is approximately 4 hours in duration
